News

Hello friends and family!

The purpose of this blog will be to keep you informed about Ginny's progress.  We want to keep the thousands of people who love and adore Ginny up-to-date, while protecting her from having to repeat her story over and over.

As many of you know, Grandma Ginny has been having belly pain for many months.  After many trips to the doctor and some preliminary scans, a visit to St. Louis revealed yesterday that she has pancreatic cancer.  The surgeon does not feel removing it is an option at this time, as it is wrapped around multiple vessels.

Today's agenda includes informing family members and arranging appointments with a local oncologist.

I know you are thinking, "What can I do?" because, let's face it... everyone who knows Ginny would drop everything and do anything for her.  Right now she is on a clear liquid diet to avoid further damage to her pancreas, so please don't bring food!  Doctors have told her to rest until the next step is determined, so the comment section below can be a great way for all of us to communicate.  I hope this blog will prevent her phone from ringing off the hook, protect her need for rest, and help you feel better to have as much up-to-date information as possible.

Our family feels and appreciates your prayers.  The overwhelming response of people who have been influenced by her will provide tremendous comfort to our family.  We will need everyone who adores Ginny to be on the support team, and what a huge network that is.  I know every need of hers will be met by one of you.  Check back for the latest report.

Love,
Jackie (Ross) Douglas
